2010 Clio Extreme rear headrests

Hi,

I've just bought a 3-door 2010 Clio Extreme 1.2 and it doesn't have any rear headrests - it appears they are not 'standard' on this model. There are no holes on the top of the seat material where they would go, so it's not that they've been removed.

Feeling through the fabric I could feel there were tubes in the seat where headrests would go. Based on advice found both online and from a friend, it seemed like you can just make a hole through the fabric and place a headrest in through the tubes beneath the fabric. So I bought a headrest that I am 95% sure is the right type, made the holes on one seat and tried to fit them.

The problem is that the hole the headrest poles would go into is much bigger in diameter than that of the headrest poles. They will drop in and sit in the tubes, but they rattle around like crazy and probably wouldn't do any good in any situation you'd want them to.

Where have I gone wrong? The tubes in the seat feel much larger than the poles you'd find on any headrest, so I must be missing something...

Yes, is like two plastic collars on the outside that the poles slide into, only one I think includes the height adjust release button, can only guess in your case those are also missing.

Mine tend to get left out cos is a hassle if wanting to fold down the rear seats, they have to come off completely and then what to do with them!
