You shoudn't need an external antenna input - the built-in one will be fine.

The 710 uses the new SirfStar III chipset, which has no problem getting a signal through the heat reflective coating. The same is true of the other x10 models, the One and (I think) the Rider. The earlier Classic, 300, 500 and 700 have a less sensitive chipset and usually do need an external antenna for use in cars fitted with these windscreens.
