I had one do exactly that the other day - I pumped the tyre up to 40 psi squirted a few drops of WD 40 into the valve and let the pressure out in short bursts until it wa sthe correct pressure and it seems to have resealed itself but I suspect internal corrosion is beginning to start. I also fitted the valve cap on firmly giving it a slight extra tweek with the pointy pliers which I carry on the car. I take you have plastic valve caps
Yes, I have plastic caps all round
I'll try the WD40 trick but I think I'll give it a squirt before pumping it up to help it enter the valve.
I've also had the suggestion to put grease on the cap to help it seal.
