I replaced the rear bushes in my Laguna about this time last year. Within months they were competely shot again!
I have just bought some new genuine Renault bushes. As others have commentated there is a picture showing which way to install them (slotted one to the nearside).
There is nothing to stop the bushes being put in the wrong sides. It appears it does matter which way round they are fitted. If you look carefully at a new bush the rubber has 2 deep relief grooves at 45 degree angles.
If the bushes are fitted on the wrong sides, these grooves will be out of position by 90 degrees. Could this be why some bushes fail so quickly?
When I fitted new bushes last year they had already been replaced. I put the new ones in the same positions (can't remember which way round). Hence it is possible they are the wrong way around. I will find out if they are wrong/correct when I replace the bushes next week.
