When changing brake fluid I first suck all the old stuff out of the master cylinder reservoir using a turkey baster (99p from Tescos). Top up with fresh stuff and then jack up both front wheels - open the bleeders and let it drip of its own accord - takes about an hour front and back - as yet have had no problems. I usually leave this job to the summer months whilst I'm out pottering around in the garden where I can have a look at it every 10 minutes or so.
