When renewing brake fluid quite a bit of crud tends to gather in the bottom of the master cylinder. I usually bleed the one wheel closest first as there is no point in all the crud getting pumped into the sytem. Then I start in the correct sequence.
As most modern cars have twin circuits the bleeding sequence should follow each circuit. That is:-
1. Rear right-hand brake
2. Front left-hand brake
3. Rear left-hand brake
3. Front right-hand brake
This sequence applies where the master cylinder is mounted to the left side ofthe vehicle
