It's just a foible of Haynes manuals to be honest.Obviously they have to be careful and some people that read them have no idea how a car really works so they have to be ultra careful,not that theres anything wrong with that to be honest.

I wouldn't ever seriously knock Haynes as they work damn hard on producing the books and some of my mates work for them..You do have to read between the lines in the manuals a little sometimes though.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
