The C-Max definately feels a lot more substantial and well put together I guess though.Renault specs are usually much better for the same money though, and for comfort I don't think you can beat a Renault
Our 2004 Mondeo is a very nice car,it just has few design quirks that are a bit annoying.Compared to the Laguna's we've had the drivers seat is impossible to adjust so I can get comfortable.I'm quite tall which doesn't help matters admittedly, and the fact that the remote controls for the radio are stuck out of the steering colomn at a stupid angle that I keep hitting my knee on them also adds to the discomfort.I also have a tendency to switch the radio off everytime I change into 3rd gear as the radio is directly in front of the gear stick.
It's very well screwed together,is very quiet and smooth for a diesel (115hp Tdci),but for a long journey I'd rather have my 10 year old Lag 1.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
