36,000 is pretty good for a set of front discs and pads, although I would have expected the rears to last a bit longer. It depends how much weight you usually carry.
Has this been noticed as part of a service?.
The dealer has to make sure that the brakes will last to the next one,but because the intervals are so long you will probably find that there is still quite a bit of wear left in them.
How much have you been quoted?(Renault Main Dealer I guess)
If you use genuine parts, any Vat registered garage can carry out the repairs, and it won't affect the warranty.and I suspect the labour charge would be half as much as a main dealer......
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
