36,000 is pretty good for a set of front discs and pads,although I would have expected the rears to last a bit longer.It depends how much weight you usually carry.

Has this been noticed as part of a service?.
The dealer has to make sure that the brakes will last to the next one,but because the intervals are so long you will probably find that there is still quite a bit of wear left in them.

How much have you been quoted?(Renault Main Dealer I guess)

If you use genuine parts,any Vat registered garage can carry out the repairs,and it won't affect the warranty.and I suspect the labour charge would be half as much as a main dealer......

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
