Since when did the UK police have any jurisdiction in France? I mean really, do you see the French allowing our police to sit on their roads fining us for speeding?

You need paper and photo driving licence (should have your correct current address).

For making an insurance claim in Frog there is a form you should have, you can't just take down a reg number like in Blighty, though I'm not clear on this one to be honest.

Don't speed on the last stretch of motorway to Calais, there are English trafic cops at the peage ready to fine you from a headsup from the guy with a laser up the road.

Don't do over a 100mph, they can take your licence.

Derv is cheaper off the autoroute if you can pop into an Intermarche.

We always take out AA Euro insurance and in about 7 or 8 trips its picked up all the charges on two breakdowns - one exhaust on a 306 and one gearbox on a lag
