I think that you have the answer there H.......I have heard of using the accessory point to plug in a small battery device when changing the main 12v battery on the car...this then keeps the radio code during changeover. It was my own fault for leaving the phone connected to the charger but there is no long term damage so all is well. I just wanted to know why!!
