dealer charges

i guess its something we have to get used to, once upon a time you would walk into a dealers garage, plain concrete floor, no set up for cup of tea, and u would buy your car or parts from that, today, its all carpeted ofices, smoko room, reception areas, etc, it all adds to the cost i guess, quite frankly today, i think its all costing to much, lets get back to the basics, a garage is just that, a place to work on the car, not a showroom, i looked at my local dealer the other day, 3 technicians, but in the office, secretary, receptionist, spare parts chap, and the dealer principle office, the wage bill must be high, let alone lease on the building, and equiptment, no wonder the local approved service agents can do it cheaper, but, how many of us would accept the old concrete floor deal now.
