Thats the beauty of the internet,you can learn about the fault you have and either fix yourself or have a greater understanding of it and expalin the fault better to who ever is fixing it.
It does work both ways though as we have had a number of customers come in with half a story from the internet and get completely the wrong end of the stick,but on the whole forums like this are great,I know that I have become a better car-fixer because of the internet as much of the info that is on there used to be hidden from even people in the trade,now much is common knowledge or just a 'google' away.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
