Welcome - hope you get it sorted without too much pain!
Oh no - I was on the train at time... practically empty, but the woman sat near me was giggling, and so was I to be honest
Renault say that one of my keys is intermittently faulty. Yesterday one was faulty, today neither are. Apparently an intermittent fault on the transponder key thing can cause intermittent strangenesses to happen. Central locking might might not happen and the immobiliser might not get bypassed (as seems to be the case with mine)
To be perfectly honest, I'm still a little dubious, but it's sounding more feasible the longer I think about it.
Current bill - £82.25 for diagnostics
Future bill - £130 ish for a new key (not yet ordered though I guess I should pretty soon)
Thanks again for lovely messages of welcome
PS Mods - if you want this post somewhere more appropriate, please say and I'll happily post a summary of the problem
