You know, I'm intrigued about Safranes now - everybody on here who owns/has owned on seems to love 'em and is really determined to keep them on the road - there must be something particularly good about them. If only I could afford the insurance
Insurance must be calculated differently in UK; I notice you drive a 2.2? You can get Safranes in 1.8 [not recommended] and 2.0. The diesels are 2.5 for the phase II (1996-).
I have to agree with Deltas post, I've had a couple of irksome niggles, but nowhere near the issues that he's had. I've been clumsy and careless and have some scratches to sort out.
Parts are a *****, but
is your friend.
It is not economical either, so don't consider it if you need 35mpg+.
I may be jumped on for saying this, but their build quality seems to be much higher than that of the Laguna, but it is still not on the par of VW.
It is, and this is most important for me, the most comfortable car I have ever sat in, apart from a Vel Satis.
