It's fairly easy to replace them, they're common all-glass mini bulbs, Halfords have them.

I have replaced them with white LED so they don't wear / blow - though I don't recommend it if you're not a skilled electronics engineer, you need to put a resistor in the loop, LEDs work at 1.5/2 Vcc and 12 Vcc are enough to blow the top off them.

To take the central console off is easy, just three screws around it. The problem is that to access the three little b****rs you have to dismantle half the fascia.

However, here's the lowdown: take the tweeters grilles off (just pry them out with a flat screwdriver).
You'll see a screw each side holding down the top of the fascia, remove them and pop off the top panel of the fascia. You're done, take the three screws off and detach all connectors.
To take the bulbs out, twist the white clips that hold them in place 90', then pull the bulb out.

Reverse to refit, done.

Thanks guys for all the above posts. A trip to my local Halfords (or similar) tomorrow!! It will be great if it's just the bulbs. Getting the dash off is no problem, as I've had to do it already to re-code the radio.

Thanks again.
