same fault happened with my drivers door window recently, so I got the parts off ebay again, and today i stripped the door down to do the job, sure enough the bracket was broken as suspected, however the second problem is the cables have become tangled up in the motor and are unserviceable as a result - the motor etc is fine, but the cables need replacing - question is can I buy just the cables seperately or am I going to have to buy a whole new motor unit?

You can get wire replacement/repair kits on ebay I'm not sure how practical they are as opposed to changing the whole regulator
