Our scanner at work (Snap-on Colour Graphing jobby) just came up with 'wheel sensor fault',and didn't specify which one,but Renault or certain other scanners will be able to give more info.If you can find someone with a Launch X-431 then they will certaintly be able to tell which sensor is gone.
You can check the sensors with a multimeter if you have one.Resistance and Milli-volts are the ones your looking for between the two pins from the sensor as you spin the road wheel,but you'll need a good quality meter as the cheaper ones can give false results on such small voltages and critical resistances.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
