Hello and welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure if those instructions are for your age of Clio to be honest.The central locking is operated seperately from the immobiliser on your car.

You need to find out if your key is emitting a signal when the button is pressed really.There is a way of doing this with either a digital camera or a radio aerial but I always seem to forget what exactly to do.At work we have a tester than can tell if a signal is being emitted,it's only a 3 second test and most garages have the equipment to carry it out.

Have you changed the batteries in the fob at all?.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
