last year, i bought a '52 initiale estate for £4500 with similair mileage.
as well as top of the range, this was totally immaculate and had a massive file for bills - including a new engine
this car now is worth about £1200 to the trade and about £2k privately.
after buying, i needed;
- new front shocker at n/s
- discs / pads all round
- rear suspension bushes (labour intensive job apparantly)
- new backbox
obviously every car is different, but these are points i would certainly reccomend you consider before buying.
also, as above, the price seems a little steep even for the full leather models such as a loaded initiale.
if chosen carefully, they make a good cheapish older car - really like mine, even though it cost an extra £2k shortly after buying....
