So - the starting problem is sort of solved (Electrics forum: hello: Cheryl). Went to pick her up yesterday from Renault (80) and drove her to my local garage, via Halfords for new wiper blades (20).

She's booked in for today for the cam belt replacing ceremony to mark her five years on the road (about 200), a service (about 100) and an MOT (40 something). I still owe for one of the towings too (about 50 including the work he did trying to trace the fault)

You'd *think* thats plenty really. Yeah me too, until the exhaust started blowing as I got halfway from Renault to my house... I can see the last bit before the tail pipe hanging down, mocking me...

(having to laugh, in a forced, fixed grin kinda way)
That's not raining.... it's a sucking funami.....
Loads of sympathy from us all, I'm sure... for what it's worth.
