If you can find the alarm unit most have an LED which flashes whne the alarm is activated. For some crazy reson it is usually buried under trim somewhere. When activated the LED flashes in a numerical sequence. Different sequences can be interpreted as certain faults. I don't know the sequences but my neighbour has a similar system on his Lag II and he has the book of codes so I may be able to find out.
He had a similar problem but it was traced to a tracker system which automatically scanned every 10 minutes or so. Every time it scanned the voltage drop activated the system. To narrow the field of search we taped up the internal sensors and taped down the bonnet switch.
