Yep,we have one member in particular that sings it's praises.I'm not sure it does exactly what it says on the tin though,but I am a little sceptical of such things I'm afraid.

Your experiment with the ELM327 is very interesting Plan,if you could post up some screen shots I'd be very interested.

As I think I said to you,I am going to need to get some sort of code reader/scanner in the future and I am leaning towards a lap top with some software on it.That way I can combine it with the other stuff I have on my PC and I can keep it with me and take it on breakdowns etc.The one problem I have is that it will be used on any car and not just Renault,so I am going to need to purchase a lot of different software packages.Either that or bite the bullet and lease/buy on HP a decent scanner.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
