heater fault

hi, ive posted a thread on cooling + heating thread, and had a couple of replies but dont know if thats the right thread to post to,
i have a (1998 r reg ) laguna rt 1,8 with aircon, my heater has packed up or should i say my blower fan, it just stoped working and none of the dial setting work. ive been told it could be the resistor pack behind the glovebox. the 20amp fuse under the driver side is ok. i have seen a couple of photos on this site of the resistor pack and just wondered if it is easy to remove and can it be tested if so how , also could someone please tell me the easiest way to test the blower motor itself.

thanks howie---------
