Once the insurers have made payment their responsibilty for car hire finishes as it means they have completed their side of the deal.
I would agree skinny tyres are much better in the snow. My 1994 Clio diesel with the small skinny 13" wheels and the heavy engine at the front works very well indeed compared to the broad tyres on my laguna.
Very true Noel, always the voice of reason.
I remember once having a MKIII Escort 1.6 with skinny tyres. I used to drive it down lanes with with 6 inches or more of snow and not get stuck. I amazed alot of people by being able to do that in that car !
Yeah the laguna is / was a nightmare in the snow. Especially mine with the Dunlop SP Sport 3000A tyres - there not meant for snow
Glad Im not driving that car anymore in that case !
