sorry to wade in a little late, but can someone help here:
i've 16" wheels on my Lag2 and am looking to replace them with 17" alloys, (silverstone, gt, drenalic).
firstly, valves - if they dont come with the new wheels, can i source them easily? and to what cost?
would this be an easy job for a "ats" type garage to fit?
do they need calibrating?
do they or dont they need matching to the car?
basically, anyone have any experience of changing alloys whilst retaining the tyre pressure sensor feature?
Have a look at http://www.schraderservice.com/howtofitme/
for info on pressure sensors. I have had 17" silverstones on my ex LagII and found that they seemed to lose pressure, supposed common fault with
older alloys. If you change a sensor it will need programming to the system, each one has to be recognised by the sensor unit (they are colour coded to each wheel)
