Hi, Chris M is prob correct but it may well be worth checking the rubber conduit that carries the electrics to the door. The hard plastic U clip that locks the plug to the door can break or surprisingly work loose, this allows the connector to work loose but it still looks as though its in place. If its loose check the connector and clean/WD40 it and plug it back together pushing the U clip back in place to lock it (it slids up to unlock.) I had this problem on a rear door ... all the electrics to the door worked, windows, speakers, puddle lights etc, but the central locking on the door was nada. The connector was loose (although looked in place,) cleaned it, put it back together and everything was working again.

Worth a shot before getting the door stripped down!

Hope it helps
