I have never been taught it but had an idea of how to do it.
davesss after engaging first using the clutch, did you ever learn to go through the box silently without touching the clutch again, other than for stopping and restarting, or was it just a gift and me.
I know how to do that. You can do it from a standing start and stopping too. You can drive a normal manual car from stand to top gear then to stop without touching the clutch pedal and without grinding the gears too
Not sure if it would damage the car in the long run but handy to know if your clutch ever goes on you.
I used the method to jump a car from stand on thursday when it wouldn't start, no way was I pushing it and had no jump leads.
