The in-car electronics are very fickle when it comes to voltage.
It may be worth checking what voltage is available at the car battery terrminals when this occurs.
I ain't saying thats the problem but it would be a good place to start
It may be a duff keycard battery or duff internal switch on the keycard circuit board.The internal buttons are known to break but may be able to be repaired.
