Everything was dead on my instrument panel apart from a few icons (e.g. washer bottle, alarm etc.).

The speaker was also dead so you couldn't hear the indicators or lights on alarm

I tried unplugging and plugging back in the instrument panel, but it was still dead

As I really need the car at the moment (Catching plane to Slovakia at the end of the week) and wouldnít receive it back from repair in time, I decided to risk dismantling it to see if I could fix it myself.

However after finding the needles were not going to come off easily, I put it back together and popped it back into the dashboard.

When I inserted the keycard to my surprise it worked and has worked all today

The only niggle is that both needles donít quite sit on zero (both are out by the same amount).

Hopefully when it packs up next time, Iíll be able in a better position to send it off for repair to these guys
