Removing roofbars

Hi all,

I am about to take an angle grinder to me car. Well the roof bars anyway.

They were on the car when I bought it (from a dodgy dealer somewhere in the south west Yes you know who you are).

Anyway has anyone ever managed to get a replacement key for Halfrauds roof bars. The staff at my local branch just stared when I asked them if they could get me one.

I did thinkl they might be made by Thule as the lock number seemed to tie up with their codes so I ordered a key and yes youve guessed it. It didn't work.

Are there any lock experts online who might be able to advise me on this. Either where to get a key or where to start drilling and grinding cause they have got to go.

Currently in planmeca's garage:
Renault Laguna 1.8 16v x 2 and a lot of other things. could really do with a tidy up to be honest I'll do it tomorrow
