Thanks, Tarmac Boy... I've read a few of the original reviews when the car was launched and several of them talk about the 'normal' 80:20 which can be reversed to 20:80 if slip is detected via the ABS sensors/ ECU . You're right about being on something slippy with the front wheels though - could be embarrassing!! When you say the 'rear bearing' do you mean the UJ or the doughnut? I've read that a couple of company's will overhaul the shaft (with circlipped/grease nippled UJs which sounds like a plan) for around 400, and I've found doughnuts available for about 40. I think if I'm going to keep it (it's on an 03 plate with <40K), it might be an idea to invest in the shaft overhaul.
