I cleaned mine on monday, but didn't go out in the car til yesterday afternoon. Checked after I had cleaned it that th engine ran ok which it did, but come yesterday when i went out, seemed like the engine had no turbo boost!

So had a look, couldn't see anything obvious so fiddled about unplugging and reconnecting bits. Noticed one of the black pipes to do with the vacuum solenoid or something was not quite pushed home, so made sure it was.

Went out again, and sorted. Car is smoother than I can remember it being before, so happy again. Was really worried I had damaged something to start with!
The engine probably revved as the carb cleaner deposits washed into the inlet manifold burnt off during startup - it sounds like a knackered valve for about 5-10 seconds and runs on its own until the vapours have been combusted!
