Thanks for the advice Horatio - I'll give that a try later
It would be logical assumption that a flashing 'spanner' would be a service due warning - but this is a Renault!
Vehicle was serviced 2k miles ago and was prompted by the illumination of the SERV button on the dash - which the manual tells me is the indicator of a service being due - after service was completed the SERV light has remained off
Any Gallic 'lateral' thinkers out there that can work out what the flashing 'spanner' means?
