A quick check of the cabin airfilter (behind glove box) will show if there is water entering via the air intake (if filter is wet). This is a simple fix at home, just need to remove scuttle, about 5-6 torcx screws, clean out any leaves and make sure the drain holes are clear.
If the window regulator is broken, you can pick new (and better) ones up on the internet for about £50, takes about an hour to fit.
The immobiliser is the bigger issue and the CV joint is about £90-£100 from a garage supplied and fitted
thnx i will have a good look tommorow and see if thats the water problem, but you say the immobiliser is the bigger issue, how much to repair that and is it really essential, also how can i sort out the mileage counters reseting to 86,300,
