Laguna II door lights

On my 2002 Laguna, when I open either of the passenger side doors, neither the lights on the bottom of the doors, or the interior lights come on. However the lights on the driver side doors work, and also activate the interior light.

Would I be right in thinking this might be a sticking switch somewhere? And if so where is it. On older cars there used to be a switch in the pillar of the doors somewhere which would activate the interior light. Unless I am being thick, blind or both I can't actually see anything that resembles such a switch. Would be grateful for any pointers!
