I have never used supermarket fuel in my life. Two reasons mainly. One is my cynical mind always reminds me - there is no such thing as a free lunch and secondly there are just too distant for me to make it economical viable to travel. I really laugh when I hear people travelling miles to buy cheaper fuel - do they think it cost nothing to get there and back

Most of all I am lucky to have two independent filling stations close to me and I am all for supporting local business and local jobs - maybe that why they are still on business. Our local weights and measures people have discovered a local scam involving diluted petrol. The petrol is diluted with kerosene and then a naptha additive is mixed in to maintain the octane.
