In my opinion, I would stay well clear of the Laguna 2 1.9dci. I've owned mine for 2 years, and have covered about 30k miles in it, it had just under 50k on the clock when I bought it, and in the 2 years of owned the car, I have paid nearly the cost of the car in repairs :-

1st to go was the air conditioning display, which I fixed myself with my trusty soldering iron.

2nd was a split intercooler

3rd as a result of the split intercooler, the turbo blew itself up shortly after (luckily i was stationary on my drive at the time as you have to stall the engine)

4th rear sub frame bushes replaced

5th key fob to replace

Not to mention intermittent faults with the lights out warning system, so all in all, I'm far from impressed with the quality of the electronics used by Renault, and their unwillingness to recognise that there is a major problem with the turbo failure rate of the 1.9dci engine.

One very disgruntled laguna owner (never again)
