On my Laguna, the two plugs are connected to a small black box. This box clips onto the plastic duct of the ventillation system. In Haynes Workshop manual it says that on airconditioned models, this box is integral with the duct and cannot be removed but in my Laguna which has air conditioning, the box is removable. On the left hand side there is a shiny clip at the base of the box (there may be more than one but I saw only one on mine) which needs to be prised off. When I prised it, it flew off and I could not find it again so I suggest you stick sellotape over it before prising it off. I assume you are following Ben1400's excellent posting of 7 June 2007 to fit the new thermal fuse . Good luck.
