I am having a bit of an issue with Renault at the moment - wondering if anyone can give advice as to what to do next.
Basically I bought a Megane Rush and for most of its first year it was used as a commute car with just me driving it and no passengers. When it was no longer needed for the commute it started taking passengers (familly and friends) and all of a sudden the front passenger seat developed a fault - the trim keeps popping off. Now this might not seem like a big problem except it means every time you get in and out of the car your clothes catch in it.
Now, the problem:
It has been in for repair under warranty at least 5 times - each time failing to repair it.
This last time (a major service) the dealer suddenly announces that it is wear-and-tear and therefore no longer under warranty.
Renault customer services
don't want anything to do with it.
So, does this mean that we are screwed and can't do anything about this?
Any help and advice would be appreciated.
