Laguna radio display

I recently changed my old Laguna 1994 (great car) to a Laguna 2004 1.9dCi. There was no radio in the car so I bought one off Ebay supposedly from a Laguna and supposedly fully working.

I have connected three plugs into the sockets on the radio - the antenna plug, a 2x8 way large connector for power and speakers I presume, and a small yellow 6 way connector.

When I power up the radio the display on the dash lights up and shows the clock and outside temperature but there is no information from the radio. If I push the buttons on the radio, a beep comes from the speakers, however there is no signal from the radio or cd.

There is a spare 8 way socket on the radio which I assume is for a cd changer, and a 6 way.

Can anyone please tell me if I am missing a cable and connector for the display, or is the radio faulty, or needs a factory reset. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a security code for the radio.

Thanks, Seabee
