If the other thread can't help you then it may not be good news. I have seen 2 of these units rendered useless when working at a Renault dealership, and they cost a lot of £££'s. It is one of the first things I was told with the Laguna II - to turn off the Ignition, then wait for the Sat Nav unit's power light to go out. This takes a short while, and then it's best to wait 15 mins to be sure. If the battery is disconnected before the light goes out, the unit fails to start up again....and that's the end of it.
There may be a service (probably aftermarket) to recondition the units now as I left a couple of years ago, but it's something to do with the sudden power loss while the unit is sorting itself out to power off.
Any idea where the power light is please?
