Car bodywork experts, I ask you a question!
It would seem, to me at least, that the recent cold snap and associated road salt has made my much beloved cars' rear wheel arch (only in the drivers side, randomly) decide to go a bit rustly. Where before existed a 20p sized surface pathc the whole inseide edge of the arch has now gone crusty, literally in the matter of weeks
Now a good old prod about reveals no nasties and infact good news - the arch is solid as a rock so I'm dealing with surface corrosion here I think. I have done a bit of car bodywork repair in the past but not corrosion related, rather dent related.
The planned angle of attack is to rub down to metal to get rid of the rust, treat with a rust inhibitor then primer it and paint and laquer it. Does that sound right? Anyone recommend any good products that work well?
Ta very much in advance
I'll pop a piccy or two on tomorrow if I get chance.
