Cheers Paul. I have heard of Kurust before.

The patch in question is quite small, probably no more than an inch or so on the edge of the wheel arch. Err, difficult to explain really, on the edge that faces the rear wheel... Very very common area to corrode on many older cars and the only patch of rust on the whole car. So not too noticeable at all (plus the laquer on a lot of the car is "knackered" so a little patch hand painted will not make much difference

Previous owner had the car undercoated with some waxy stuff which has preserved it very well, but it is 15 years old now so some corrosion is inevitable! It is as solid as a rock underneath etc, so I don't need to give the MOT tester any excuses

EDIT - oh that doesn't sound good stef I think maybe a piccy or two of yours too might be in order? I know Paul has been a great source of help for other members in the past with stuff like this I'll get a pic in the morning and post up.
