Ah, thanks for that! I couldn't find anything elsewhere on the net about the differences. I would have thought that would be one of the first things potential buyers would want to know (I certainly did!).

Actually, I don't do very many miles, just short journeys. I'm after a diesel because they're more efficient when cold (they don't have the same over-rich fuelling when they're not up to temp). I reckon the short journeys (15 min journey to work) would be better suited to a diesel. Also. I want to keep other costs like insurance to a minimum. I could do that with a small petrol engine, but a turbo diesel would give me more torque for the same low insurance costs.

Speaking of torque, how do you find the dCi 80, performance wise?
