You could buy one of these:
Once connected to your iPod, you can tune a free FM preset on your Tunerlist radio to a frequency that is not used for FM radio reception and that's about it - you can now play your iPod through the car radio.
The iTrip will cost you about £30 - there are other makes available - Belkin etc.
That's my cheap solution for you. It works fine in my Megane with little or no interference.
I'd rather look for a 'hard wired' solution. i've used these before and not impressed.
