I really wouldn't think that cleaning your
contacts will make any difference (personally I think it sounds like you're clutching at straws ... although if you do decided to go through with it use some electrical contact cleaner) ...
however ... because your car is going into limp mode, the
has decided that it needs to protect itself ... because you've already indicated that the
was replaced (and therefore I assume you've got a
diesel), that suggests to me that your
is overboosting for some reason ...
