The reason I had to get rid of my old one is that the speedo stopped working one day, and I was told by the local Renault dealership that it would cost £500 for parts alone.
They lied to you imo. Have you still got it?
The thing is, about a week before the speedo stopped working, I had fitted a new CD player to the car.
What I want to know is, is any of the wiring for the radio linked to the dashboard? Or is there any of the dashboard wiring behind the radio that I could have damaged?
I want to fit this CD player to the new car but I'm afraid It'll muck it all up!
It will only muck it up if you cut the wires when you put it in. If you changed the other by just connecting plugs then it should be the same I think in the current car. As long as you don't cut/chock bloc wires you'll be ok.
Not sure if the display will work though as I think it will only work with Renault HU's.
