Clio twin headlight adjustment for abroad

I'm taking my 2005 Clio 1.2 16v Dymamique to France soon, and am wondering how best to adjust the separate main & dip beams .
Stick on beam benders for both dip & main beam lights ??
Surface of plastic headlamp cover is quite curved and from past experience with other lights, I fear benders will not stay stuck in place - and Araldite on plastic not a good alternative idea !
I read some contributors have used a plastic protector shield over the headlight ( with benders stuck on ) Can I get protectors for this car ? Again - one or two benders per headlamp ?
I don't really want to use black tape to mask the lights - as with only 50W bulbs I need all the light I can get in the Alps.
Incidentally can I fit higher wattage bulbs without melting anything or frying the wiring ??
Currently in iain t's garage:
2005 Clio Dynamique 1.2 16v , Saab 9000 S 2.3 Turbo
