Good news Mike,thanks for the update.
Renault have messed around with the service intervals a number of times in the past,especially on the diesel models.When the dCi Laguna 2 first came out they were 18k,then this dropped to 9k which we suspect was to try and extend the fragile turbos life span,they also changed the
spec.All this is fine as long as they tell people,which it doesn't seem like they are doing.
Anyway,a happy ending in your case,although I would still seriously consider an interim
and filter change every year/9k.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
